Funding-round outreach sequence

Use the announcement as context. Send only when a second public fact says your offer is relevant now.

Last updated 23 October 2026. Public competitor facts are dated on the page.

When to run this play

Run this when a company publishes a round and a second source shows the work you do: a role, a launch sentence, or a post from the operator. Skip the row when all you have is the amount and a sector.

The platform underneath is the connected system. This playbook is the signal-based prospecting branch, delivered through TWL Reach.

Qualify before anyone writes

  • The announcement URL opens and names the company.
  • Stage, sector and geography match the offer. If the page did not state the stage, do not guess it in the email.
  • A second public fact exists and is stored on the record.
  • You are not already in a conversation with the account.
  • The recipient is a person who could own the work, not a generic press address.

Sample sequence

Example TWL Reach sequence for planning. It is not a customer result, a script to paste, or permission to contact someone you have no business contacting.

  1. Day 0 · Hold. The agent files the announcement and looks for the second fact. No draft is created if the second fact is missing.
  2. Day 1 · Email. Subject uses the use of funds or the role, not “congrats on the raise”. Body cites both sources in two sentences and asks if the work is actually this quarter.
  3. Day 4 · LinkedIn. A shorter note to the same person, or to the operator named in the second source if that is a better owner. Suppress if they replied.
  4. Day 8 · Email. One new, true detail or a stop. Do not introduce a new pitch. End the sequence if the second source has gone stale.

Keep the agent controllable

The agent may browse public pages and draft inside the template. It may not add investors, amounts or hiring plans that are not on the sources. Approval is required for the first sends in a new niche.

Constrain the sending account and the daily volume in TWL Reach. Adding capacity without adding headcount means the agent prepares the queue. It does not mean unsupervised sending.

Questions people ask

What counts as a second fact?

A job post, a sentence in the announcement about the work you do, or a post from the operator that names the problem. A similar company in the same round-up article does not count.

Where is the signal defined?

On the funding-round signal page. This playbook is only the sequence and the gates.

Can we mention the dollar amount?

Only if the source published it and it changes the question you ask. Leading with the number is how these emails all sound the same.

Does TWL include a funding database?

This page does not claim one. Use public sources you may use, and keep the URL.
