ICP fit

Who the offer is for. A separate question from whether something just happened.

Definition

ICP fit is the degree to which a company and a person match the market you can actually serve: the problem, the context, the constraints, and the kind of buyer, independent of any recent signal.

Intent without fit wastes a sequence on a spectator. Fit without a signal wastes it on a stranger with no reason to care this week. The workflow should store both, and TWL Reach should be able to see both.

Fit is a rule you write, not a percentage the model feels. Illustrative scores on this marketing site are labelled as examples. Do not copy them into a forecast.

The blog post on ICP fit versus intent is the longer argument. The free buying-signal score asks you for a fit input and then tells you it is a heuristic.

Questions people ask

Is a job title an ICP?

A title is one clause. The ICP also says which companies, which problem and which constraints. A title match alone is how static lists get built.

Can fit override a weak signal?

It can justify research. It should not justify a familiar tone. Warmth still needs a true, recent reason.

Who owns the definition?

The team that delivers the offer. An agent can apply the rule. Changing the rule is a human edit to the system.
