What this signal is
A new-hire signal is a public statement that a person started a role, or that a company filled one. A job-change signal is the same fact from the person’s side. Champions moving to a new company are a special case: you may have a real history, and you must not pretend a history you do not have.
Profile headlines go stale. The signal is only as good as the source and the date.
Why it is worth a look
New operators review tools and agencies in the early months. They also receive the same “congrats on the role” note from everyone. The differentiated version cites why the role matches a problem you understand.
A champion job change is warmer, and it is easier to get wrong. Confirm they are in seat. Do not pitch their new employer as if the old contract moved with them.
How a TWL workflow captures it
TWL keeps the source, the role and the company on one record, and dedupes the person if they appear from a post and a job listing. The agent drafts only after the date and the company match.
Approval matters more here than on a keyword post, because a wrong company is an obvious error. The new-hire playbook shows the steps.
Example TWL Reach message
Illustrative draft. Replace the brackets with the source you actually captured. Do not send it as-is, and do not invent a detail the source does not contain.

Questions people ask
How long after a start date should we write?
There is no magic week. Earlier notes are more crowded. A note that references a concrete priority beats a race to day one.
What if two sources disagree?
Do not send. Leave the row in review until a public page agrees with itself.
Can we mention that they used us before?
Only when it is true and appropriate. Do not imply the new employer is already a customer.
Which playbook is this?
The new-hire outreach sequence. Pair it with the ICP fit glossary entry so a new title is not mistaken for a fit.
